Frost Gelato is one of my favorite ice cream places. Unfortunately, there aren’t any locations in Colorado, but every time I go out to Arizona it’s a must go to get some tasty treats. They make the silkiest and yummiest flavors around.
The staff are always so friendly and helpful, and gladly will tell you everything about each flavor. It’s a small ice cream place but they pack a huge punch with their flavors.
They change out their flavors quite a bit, but do have a few signature creations. These changes of flavors are nice because they match the seasons and allow it to be an ice cream place that you can go to year round with no problem. Frost creates their gelato with whole organic cream and only natural and real flavors, never anything artificial. That’s what makes their flavors so special.
When I go I always get the toasted marshmallow flavor if they have it. They use I think about 15 actually toasted marshmallows in the gelato, and reminds me of sitting by the campfire eating s’mores. I’ll usually mix this with either a chocolate type flavor if I’m in the mood for a lot of sweet, or a fruity flavor to cut the sweetness.
The other flavor in the picture above is the cookie butter flavor which is seasonal. It was a nice match to the marshmallow because it has a little bit of a cinnamon/graham cracker flavor that complimented the marshmallow. The gelato is so creamy it’s like butter and just melts in your mouth. I also love how filling and real it tastes. You can definitely tell that the gelato is made with care and non artificial ingredients.
There is a great assortment of flavors that they offer and they have something for everyone. There’s a multitude of fruity flavors, cookie type flavors, and the super sweet flavors. So many flavors work well together or you can choose to get only one. It’s truly one of my favorite dessert places to go to when I’m out in Arizona, and a great way to cool down on a hot day.
Frost creates an experience that is a unique twist on a classic dessert. I would highly recommend anyone give it a try so that you can experience some of the best gelato around.
