Cats is terrible and there really isn’t that much else to say about this movie. What’s weird to me is that I had some sort of hope for this movie because Tom Hooper is directing it (who has made tremendous movies) but even he can’t make the story make sense or create a good quality film from it.
The story makes no sense whatsoever, the acting is just okay and really aside from Jennifer Hudson and Jason Derulo, the music and singing is subpar at best. What was so disturbing was just how horny the cats were. I didn’t understand why that element had to be in the movie and made it that much more disturbing.
There was so much sexual tension and or sexual references that I was just totally taken out of the movie. The CGI for the people as cats was extremely bad and really took out any seriousness from the movies credibility.
Did the people editing the movie not see the clear and blatant problem with the visuals? The hands and feet of the cat people were completely untouched and just left as regular people’s hands and feet and was truly disturbing to see. It just felt like there was such a lack of care to the film.
It was just an unexpedly disturbing and terrifying movie. I can say that I did laugh a tremendous amount throughout the movie, but it was at the sheer terrible nature of the film and just how cringey it is.
Everything about this movie is so poorly done and so laughable I just couldn’t even handle it. Cats is definitely something your not missing out on, and this review is a lot shorter because I don’t really have anything else to say about Cats besides that it’s so bad it’s laughable, and so cringey that it’s genuinely disturbing.
